About me
Trisha
Hello! Thanks for visiting ‘The Zest: Cooking Like I Mean It,’ my blog of food stories. I appreciate you stopping by and I love your comments!
I am a writer, cooking enthusiast, mom. I earned the “writer” distinction when I graduated journalism school and proceeded down the path of bylines and clips. The “cook” designation came much later, when I resolved that motherhood would not reduce me to the preparation of frozen chicken pieces shaped like dinosaurs. I wanted to cook like I mean it, thereby elevating the activity and the food itself. I wanted to change the world through the way I feed my children.
J’ai du pain sur la planche (I have my work cut out) …

Hey, Trisha,
I’m not a cook, but I love good food and good writing. It’s obvious you know how to produce both! It’s great to read your adventures with cooking, Emmy, Quinn, and all else. Keep ‘em coming!
Best,
Jay

Hi, I represent a line of adult and children’s aprons called Beansoup. They are super- cute and so perfect for Moms who want to share their love of cooking with their kids. I am writing to see if you would like to review the aprons on your site. Please check out the website and tell me your thoughts. Thanks so much. I really appreciate your time.

I’m so flattered that you wanted to give me a little award! Thks! But just to show you what a complete rookie I am in the blogging – how does one “collect” this award? Where do I see it?!

Hi Trisha,
I’m Julie, the editor of “Mamapedia Voices”, and we feature guest bloggers on Mamapedia, a site for Moms all across the country. I’ve just found your blog, and would like to invite you write a piece which could be featured on our site.
Though Mamapedia Voices has just started out, it is already receiving a lot of attention, both on our site, on our guest bloggers’ sites, and beyond. We promote our featured guest bloggers through emails, Twitter, Facebook and more. It’s a wonderful opportunity to grow your audience!
If you would like to participate, please take a look at Mamapedia Voices. Next, sign up here http://bit.ly/BloggerSignUp to be on the blogger roster, and then you will be able to see the complete (and easy) instructions for submitting a piece for consideration.
Also, because we like your blog, please download a recognition badge from us- there are many fun designs to choose from here: http://www.mamapedia.com/voices/blogger_badge
If you have our badge on your blog, you’ll be entered into a drawing to win $100 for your favorite women’s, children’s or family charity! And you’ll be listed on our blog roll.
Thank you, and I look forward to reading more of your work!
Best wishes,
Julie D’Agostino
